  • Welcome!

Welcome to my website! Please click on one of the tabs above. The current house I’m working on is called the Lusby (117 square feet with an additional 50 square feet of loft space- where people can sleep)

Screwing on the roofing

Bending the metal upward while cutting makes it a lot easier. Trust me.

The first wiggle board (that didn't fit...)

Sprayed the floor with some bleach water to help get the dark spots out and bring it back to its original look

Now the tarps up and the house is weather proofed. Who knew tarps could come in such large sizes?

Had a couple of issues with the roof framing hitting the windows.

Another thing that I found helpful is that for the calking is that you put it all around the window except for the bottom so if any moisture penetrates the barrier it will run out through the bottom

You can see here that the lower pieces of wrap are tucked beneath the higher ones. This makes sure that the water will run down the side.

So a trick that I learned is that you overlay the house wrap and tape so that the water will always roll down the wall

The end of Day 3! The wall framing is complete and the joists for the loft have been placed! Now I just need to do major fundraising for the rest of the Phases.

I believe they are under the impression that the house is a playground...

What can I say? It was getting later in the day...

Clamping down some boards.

Yep, definitely camera shy.
